Hello Coaches and Parents!
It has been an amazing year for Jefferson County Youth Soccer League/AYSO Region 322! We have grown to almost 1,000 players and over 150 volunteers and we are one of the largest AYSO regions in our section which spans eight states. What a fabulous group of Volunteers and Parents we have got who make this happen! Of course, did we mention kids too??
While we are talking growth, as many of you have noticed, we are outgrowing our fields and we are working hard to gain funding to develop soccer fields at Hite Road, Jefferson County Parks & Rec’s newest edition. More information is available at www.jcprc.org/hite-road-park.html
In order to achieve this important goal ($40,000 or more), we will need the support of our community which includes our group. So this year, we are going outside our normal “one and only fundraiser” and running several programs including Spirit Days/Nights, a discount card (looking for businesses to support us and gain free advertising/customers), hosting a dinner, and a catalog fundraiser. All contributions will go toward field development at Hite Road. We will also be reaching out to local businesses for donations which will benefit this amazing group of players as well as our community.
Dates to remember:
· April 1st through April 29th – Spring Flower Fundraiser - go to JCYSL Spring Flower Fundraiser for direct online access and ordering. Catalogs will be available at the field on April 2nd if online access is not available. Our group earns 50% of purchased items. What a great way to kick off Spring and all items ship directly to you!! Please pass this site to others you know who would love to support the group!
· Saturday, April 2nd – “Spirit Day” at Chick-fil-A from 8 AM to 2 PM. Mention JCYSL or AYSO Region 322 at checkout/drive thru and 15% of purchases are donated back to our organization. Wouldn’t a hot chicken biscuit/sandwich sound good on the way to the field?
· Saturday, April 30th – we will be having a pancake dinner to support the league from 4-7 PM. Tickets will be sold at the field and more information will follow. Chef anyone??? We are looking for a good Chef who will support us and help us run the kitchen that day. We are also looking for servers with food handler permits. Our volunteers could use some help!!
· Every Saturday – we will have a $1 donation table set up at the CT field entrance – NOTE: this is NOT an entrance fee, our fields are a freely accessible Kids Zone. Great place to unload any spare change, too! Every dollar brings us one step closer!
Please remember that while none of these fundraisers are mandatory, we would greatly appreciate any support you or someone you know (friend, family member, co-worker, business) are able to offer to help us achieve our goal which is to develop these fields so our kids have a new place to play soccer!! If you are unable to donate monetarily, please consider donating volunteer time to one of the many volunteer spots we have available.
